Liberation from Conditioning
Socially, cultural structure, politics condition us (program us) to think in a certain manner. We are ruled by a certain set of ideas, concepts, beliefs.
A fundamentalist is governed by a certain idea, a rationalist might reason something else but the fundamentalist can only see that idea and what is allowed by that idea. There is only going to be one response no matter what reason or logic is used; that the rationalist is evil. History is a rule of idea, civilizations arise and fall by with the birth and death of ideas. Individuals are just mediums used by the ideas; they are conditioned, they can't see past the idea. We are ruled by these ideas. Unless we are free, we really do not know what freedom is. Just because we can move our arms around we think we are free. Everybody wants to prove that what they believe is the best.
Freedom from condition is when we no longer are conditioned by our ideas. The very act of seeing the ideas ruling our lives is freedom and these become knowledge.
For example, there are many stories of couples who say their lives were wonderful until they got married. The moment they got married, one of them became a husband and the other a wife, and all the time they are making sure they fit the concept of a husband and a wife. When some of these concepts don't work with the couple there is conflict.
